Pick a game and an occasion
Pick from ten game styles, from the flappy flyer and story climber to the kart racer, escape room and Quest RPG, then an occasion like a birthday, Christmas or a leaving do. Every combination comes with pre-written jokes, intros, game-over roasts and an ending message. Change any of it, or don’t. The style you pick is only the one it opens with: whoever gets your game can switch between all ten from its menu.

Play it for free
You can build and preview as many games as you like for free. Tweak the text, the ending and the win level until it’s perfect. A preview is just for you: it opens in your own browser for an hour. Publishing is what gives you a link to share.

Turn your people into characters
Sign in with Google and upload a photo. The first photo check is free and shows you who we found; choose a plan to have them drawn, and tell us who’s who. In a minute or two we draw each person or pet in a standing pose and an action pose, facing both ways. Every drawing is checked automatically, and if one doesn’t come out right we redraw it for free. The original photo is deleted as soon as the characters are made.
-
Name it and send it
Choose the title and the web address, then share the link. It plays on any phone or computer, can be added to the home screen, works offline, and every game style in it keeps its own leaderboard.

What you can change
- Game style: flappy flyer, platformer, arena battle, story climber, endless runner, kart racer, beat-’em-up, survival, escape room or Quest RPG. You pick the one it opens with; whoever gets it can switch between all of them from the menu.
- Theme: 20 occasions from birthdays to leaving dos, each with its own obstacles, collectibles and music. Or tick “Change with the seasons” and the game dresses up for whatever is on the calendar, all year.
- Ending: cake smash, dance party, group hug, fireworks, slow dance, trophy, high five or proposal ring.
- Win level: how many points, coins, rounds, milestones, metres, laps, nights, rooms or treasures it takes to reach your message.
- All the words: intro, game-over roasts, the ending message and who it’s from.
What we do with your photo
Your photo is checked by automated moderation, used to draw the cartoon characters, and then deleted. We keep the cartoon, not the photo. Everyone in the photo must have agreed to be turned into a character. Read more in our privacy policy.
Quick questions
Do they need to download anything?
No. Every game is a become.games web link that plays in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. They can add it to their home screen if they want it to feel like an app.
Can they play more than one game?
Yes. One link plays all ten game styles: a Games button in the menu lets them switch, with the same characters, the same look and your message at the end of each. Every style keeps its own leaderboard. You choose which one opens first, and you can switch the others off if you want it to be one game only.
Can a game change with the seasons?
Yes. Tick “Change with the seasons” when you make it and the game dresses up for whatever is on the calendar: Halloween in October, Christmas in December, summer, winter and more, with the jokes to match. In between it goes back to the occasion you chose. Your own message and anything you rewrote stay exactly as you wrote them.
What happens to the photos I upload?
Your original photo is used only to draw the cartoon characters and is deleted straight after. We keep the cartoon characters, not the photo. Photos are checked by automated moderation. You must have the right to use the photo, and everyone in it must have agreed to be turned into a character.
Who can see my game?
Only people with the link. Games are unlisted, aren’t indexed by search engines, have no trackers and set no cookies. You can delete a game whenever you like.
Can I send someone the preview?
No. A preview is just for you while you make the game: it opens only in the browser that made it and lasts an hour. To let someone else play, publish the game (it’s free) and send them its link.
How long does it take?
Building a game takes a couple of minutes. Turning a photo into characters takes about one or two minutes, and you can watch them appear in the app.
Can I use a photo of a celebrity?
No. Only upload photos you have the right to use, of people who have agreed to be turned into a game character. No celebrities, politicians or other public figures, and no photos of children unless you are their parent or guardian or have their parent’s or guardian’s permission. See our acceptable use policy for the full rules.
