Day of the Dead game for your kids

Día de los Muertos is about colour, music and remembering the people we love. A game starring your kids fits right in. Kids love games. Kids love themselves. A game starring your kids is basically the perfect present, and there’s no batteries or plastic involved.

Our pick: flappy flyer with the Day of the Dead theme. Your kids dodge skeleton mariachis, grab marigolds and sugar skulls, and the game finishes with a dance party ending carrying your own message. Every line is pre-written and funny out of the box, and you can change any of it.

Tips for the perfect Day of the Dead game

  • Use the story climber and add milestones that honour family memories.
  • Put the whole family in. Kids love seeing Mum and Dad as wobbly cartoons.
  • The dance-party ending was made for this: everyone, living or skeleton, on the dance floor.

Day of the Dead game for your kids: FAQ

How do I make a Day of the Dead game for my kids?

Pick a game style and the Day of the Dead theme in the app, play it free with demo characters, then upload a photo of your kids to turn them into cartoon characters. Name the game, pick a link like yourname.become.games and send it. It takes about five minutes.

Is the Day of the Dead theme respectful?

We designed it as a bright celebration: marigolds, sugar skulls, music and dancing, with no horror. You control every line of text, so you can make it as heartfelt as you like.

Is it safe to make a game with photos of my children?

Only a parent or guardian (or someone with their consent) should upload photos of children. The original photo is deleted as soon as the cartoon characters are made, games are unlisted and untracked, and family mode is always on. You can delete the game whenever you like.

Can I add memories of family members?

Yes. The story climber lets you add milestones with a year and a caption, and (coming soon) optional cartoon memory scenes made from photos you have permission to use.

How much does it cost?

Making, playing and publishing games is free. To turn your own photos into characters you need a plan: £3.49 a month (2 characters in month one) or £19.99 a year (10 characters up front). Plans also unlock custom game links. Cancel any time.
