The Conwy postcard, reinvented as a tiny game

Conwy wraps itself in medieval walls you can walk along, parks a huge castle by the estuary and squeezes the Smallest House in Great Britain onto the quay. Everything here is either enormous or tiny.

It’s a link, so it works on any device, anywhere, with no download. Choose a game style and a look (the Postcard look has chip-thieving seagulls and runaway suitcases), type “Conwy”, write a line about Conwy Castle or Conwy mussels, and it’s ready to send before your tea goes cold.

Who sends a postcard from Conwy?

History fans

Conwy's castle and walls are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and walking the walls of a working town is the kind of thing you have to tell someone about.

Couples on a weekend away

Castle towers, estuary sunsets and a plate of mussels make a great romantic break, and a playable postcard says so with a smile.

Grandparents on a day out with the grandkids

Peering into the tiny house and running along the walls makes a cracking day, and a postcard game lets the kids tell their parents all about it.

3 ideas for a Conwy postcard game

Idea 1

Storm the Walls

A medieval walled town feels made for spooky stories, so a Halloween arena of zombies and bats fits a castle trip.

Put this in

“Walked Conwy's town walls. Pretty sure a ghost asked me for directions.”

Idea 2

Tiny House, Big Birthday

A birthday climber suits a town where you are always heading up steps, with the birthday star waiting at the top.

Put this in

“Tried to get into the Smallest House in Great Britain. Didn't fit. Too much cake.”

Idea 3

Conwy Quay Flyer

Boats, bunting and gulls watching your lunch: the postcard look's chip thieves suit a sunny day on the quay.

Put this in

“Ate Conwy mussels on the quay. A gull ate my bread roll.”

What to write on a Conwy postcard

  • Name-drop a landmark. “Wish you were here at the town walls” works because it’s specific.
  • Mention what Conwy is known for: Conwy mussels, or medieval town walls that are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One specific detail beats “lovely views” every time.
  • Keep the ending message short: one detail, one feeling, one sign-off. It reads better on a phone screen.

Ending messages to steal

  • “Walked the walls round Conwy, then saw the Smallest House in Great Britain. About the size of my old flat.”
  • “Castle, mussels, sunset on the estuary. Conwy, you've spoiled us.”
  • “Day out in Conwy with the grandkids. They now want to live in the tiny house.”

Landmarks to name-drop

  • Conwy Castle
  • The town walls
  • The Smallest House in Great Britain
  • Plas Mawr
  • Conwy Suspension Bridge

The game shows the place name and your message, not these landmarks: the Postcard look’s far-off silhouettes are generic. Your words do the sightseeing.

How to send it, step by step

  1. Pick the Postcard occasion. Open become.games and choose Postcard. You can try it free with our demo characters straight away, no sign-up needed. To send it, you put your own people in it (drawn from a photo, which needs a plan); publishing and the link are free.
  2. Choose a game style and a look. Any style and any look work. The Postcard look (pastel houses, bunting, chip-thieving seagulls and runaway suitcases) is the natural pick, and for Conwy we’d also try arena battle with the Halloween look.
  3. Type “Conwy” as where it’s from. The “Where’s it from?” field takes up to 24 characters. Your game is titled “Greetings from Conwy”; rename it if you like, e.g. “Storm the Walls”.
  4. Make the jokes yours. The pre-written lines are postcard and holiday flavoured. Swap one for something only Conwy would explain, like a line about the Smallest House in Great Britain.
  5. Write the message on the back and send it. The ending is a postcard flying in with the place in big retro letters, your message on the back, a stamp and your signature. Publish it (free, with its own permanent link) and share it on WhatsApp, as a QR code or by copying the link. It plays in the browser on any device.

Conwy postcard: questions

Will the game show Conwy Castle?

No. The game is titled “Greetings from Conwy” and ends with a postcard showing the place name in big retro letters and your message, but it doesn’t draw Conwy Castle. The Postcard look has far-off landmark silhouettes, but they’re generic, not Conwy’s. That’s what your jokes and message are for: mention Conwy Castle in a line and they’ll picture it.

What should I write on a postcard from Conwy?

Keep it short and specific: one place, one moment, one sign-off. For example: “Walked the walls round Conwy, then saw the Smallest House in Great Britain. About the size of my old flat.”

Can I put myself in a Conwy postcard?

Yes. Build and try it free with demo characters, then upload a photo to turn yourself (and whoever you’re with) into cartoon characters, which needs a plan. Everyone in the photo must agree, and the photo is deleted once the characters are made.

How much does a digital postcard game cost?

Making, playing and publishing it is free, and every published game gets its own permanent link. To turn your own photos into cartoon characters, or to give the game a custom link like yourname.become.games, you need a plan: £3.49 a month or £19.99 a year. Cancel any time.
